Historic Gardens Spring Dinner & Auction

“An English Country Garden”

SUNDAY, MAY 28, 2017

Doors Open: 4pm

This annual gala auction event has become a much anticipated social gathering and is the key annual fundraiser for the Gardens. Our imagineers will be creating An English Country Garden theme for your enjoyment this year.

Paula Buxton and her team will be preparing a three course meal, with a choice of chicken or salmon entree (pre-selected when you purchase your ticket). Paula’s meals are always highly anticipated!

In addition to a wonderful meal, there will be plenty of great items to bid on, including lots of incredible plant material for your garden as well as artwork, services and lovely handcrafts! It is a wonderful social time as community members and visitors alike gather in support of the award-winning Annapolis Royal Historic Gardens.

The Dinner & Auction is held at the Annapolis Royal Legion & Community Centre, Victoria Street, Annapolis Royal. We invite you to attend – tickets are $50 per adult of which you will receive a tax receipt for half. All funds raised will support continued growth and development of the Historic Gardens.

The end of May is a wonderful time to visit the Gardens, so make a day of it, or even a weekend! !

Great drinks – Thanks Noel!

Our hosts at the Annapolis Royal Legion & Community Centre have certainly gotten into the spirit of our event, and our 35th Anniversary. Noel Young has developed a special drink menu honouring our “Jade” Anniversary, as well as the customary offering of wines, beer, etc.

Have a look at his special drink menu:

Only 2 more sleeps…

The 2016 Historic Gardens Spring Dinner & Auction is almost here – only 2 more sleeps!

Sunday at 4pm the fun begins for a crowd of keen supporters. But I must say, the fun has already begun for a group of great volunteers! The hall is looking great, the items up for bid have been artistically displayed. The plant material is extra special this year – there will be some hot bidding for some of these unique specimens. A collaboration of volunteers, summer students and exchange students from France are working together on decorations. Scribes are scribing, proofreaders are proofing, counters are counting, truckers are trucking, lifters are lifting… there is so much that goes into an event of this magnitude, and the Gardens Board and Staff are very grateful for all the help. Without the people who help with this event in so many ways, it simply could not exist.

Only 2 more sleeps…

We have a few tickets still available – call 532-7018 Saturday!
